People meet in the most random ways, you know like Tinder and stuff. Dani and Justin met in a super cool way. Justin who’s a pilot was a passenger in a plane and he gave up his seat to someone and was moved to a different seat where he was seated next to who? Yep Dani, and look at them know. talk about fate. The wedding day started with getting ready at the Westin River North, then off around town before the wedding to get some great shots of the bridal party. It’s so nice to get this done before the wedding, everyone is fresh out of hair and make up, the guys tuxes are still looking super clean and everyone is ready to roll. After the portraits we headed over to St Chrysostom’s church in the Gold Coast. After the service a few family portraits then off to the Erie Cafe. Another plus about getting the portraits done early is that the couple actually got to go to the cocktail hour. Erie street cafe is a great Italian restaurant that sits right where Erie street hits the river, which gives it access to the beautiful river walk and provides an amazing outside space for cocktails. After dinner Felix and Finger Dueling Pianos took over and got the dancing started. I have never shot a wedding with dueling pianos and didn’t really know what to expect but these guys really delivered, the crowd was always kept deep on the dance floor and everyone had an amazing time. These two where such a fun and fantastic couple to work with, I’m so glad I got to help them out.
